2nd Convocation 2017-18

Ajeenkya DY Patil University celebrated its second convocation ceremony on January 18, 2018, at its Charholi Budruk campus in Pune. The grand ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. D.Y. Patil, Former Governor of Bihar, Tripura, and West Bengal, Dr. Vijay D. Patil, Chancellor of DY Patil University, Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil, the university’s President, and Hrridaysh Deshpande, the Vice Chancellor, among other distinguished guests in attendance. The distinguished guest for the event, the Honorable Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, former President of India, delivered the commencement speech.

Mr. Adar Poonawalla, the Chief Executive Officer of the Serum Institute of India, and Mr. Hukam Chand Sharma, a distinguished legal luminary, will be recognized by the university through the conferment of the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters – Honoris Causa (D.Litt.) in appreciation of their significant contributions.

Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil, the university’s President, said, “Our aim has always been to contribute to an innovation-oriented Indian society and apply innovative thinking across academic processes. Our mission is to graduate students who are prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing and complex world.”

The convocation witnessed students graduating from various streams of undergraduate and postgraduate courses like law, management, media and communication, filmmaking, design, automobile, and digital modeling.

The university proudly recognizes its exceptional Gold Medallists from various disciplines, including Ankita Suda in BBA Media and Communication, Shraddha Kelkar in MBA Media and Communication, Ashish Ghanshyam Barve in LLM, Tejas Manik in Automobile Design, Akshay Bhosale in Digital Modelling, and Mohd Zahid in Undergraduate Automobile Design.
