DYPDC School of Design enables students to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing society. Students collaborate with peers throughout ADYP University, industry partners, and communities around the world, and business and their application for a stated purpose.
This innovative program has been designed to train the designers who shaped the global industry. Employing design thinking and creative problem-solving strategies, you explore form, design, material, and process — including social and environmental imperatives — to create beautiful, sustainable, and responsible new age fashion for a complex and evolving field. During the program you are encouraged to explore the broadest contexts and applications of fashion design.
The program will expose you to the theory and practice of state-of- the-art fashion design and development through an array of specifically introduced topics coupled with hands-on skills, appropriate methods / tool kits.
The curricula integrate the principles of fashion, textile and technology to impart comprehensive fashion education. The exploration of form, silhouette, materials and process including social, and environmental concerns to create innovative sustainable, and responsible fashion solutions for multicultural market scenarios.
The subjects of study are broadly grouped in subject domains; the depth and complexity of the inputs increased in each subsequent semester.

- Visual representation and communication (2-Dimensional, hand and ICT enabled)
- Garment development (3-Dimensional garment development)
- Business of Fashion and contextual appropriation (consumer insights)
We emphasize on working with a global outlook, providing students with big picture capabilities of learning that help the students imbibe practical skills. Students are introduced to industry integrated learning so that they are exposed to the business perspective of the program and adept to the system upon gaining ground in their respective fields. The learners are sensitized to explore and appreciate Indian crux and develop Glo-cal (Global- local) design solutions.
The scope for fashion design jobs is immense as people have increasingly become more fashion conscious and seek to enhance it in every way. Textile and clothing companies need to hire people in a variety of jobs, ranging from fashion designers, textile designers, retailers, buyers, costume designers, fashion forecasters, fashion stylist, fashion illustrator, garment technologists and merchandisers, to provide end-to-end solutions to their clients. Fashion designers are doing very well in almost all countries and hence the scope has broadened for students of fashion designing.
