Ajeenkya DY Patil University organized its annual sports event – Impetus from 9th to 11th October 2023. The event offered a platform for over 900 enthusiastic students to exhibit their sportsmanship and diverse talents. The inauguration ceremony, marked by the release of vibrant balloons and the ceremonial lighting of the torch by Prof. Hrridaysh Deshpande, the Vice Chancellor of ADYPU, set an energetic tone for the events. Prof. Deshpande stressed the significance of sports in a student’s life, emphasizing active participation over winning or losing and highlighting the role of sports in stress management. He underlined the holistic benefits of sports, catering not only to physical well-being but also nurturing the psychological aspects of the youth. The sports extravaganza featured various competitive events, including Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Tug of War, Badminton, Chess, and Carrom.
