Dr. Biswajeet Champaty is the Head of the School of Engineering at Ajeenkya D Y Patil Unversity, Pune, He received his B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from the Biju Patnaik University of Technology Odisha and M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from SRM University, Chennai. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha.

He has a profound interest in the field of medical electronics and instrumentation with specialization in bio-signal-based intelligent human-computer interface design for controlling assistive devices. He has extensive expertise in device development for bio signal acquisition, MATLAB based graphical user interface design for real-time signal processing and event monitoring, bio-signal-based wireless control of rehabilitative devices and assistive robotics and applications of IOT in healthcare.

He has published 8 research publications in referred journals, 26 international publications in various IEEE conferences and 13 book chapters of international repute. 7 of his research papers have received best international paper awards.

Dr. Biswajeet has received the ISER-Young Scientist Award 2017 by International Society for Engineers and Researchers, Vienna, Austria for his contribution to the field of “Human-Computer Interaction.

Dr. Debirupa Hore

Specialization: Electrical Engineering

Dr. Debirupa Hore has completed her B.E (Electrical Engineering) from State Government College, Guwahati and M.Tech in Power & Energy systems from National Institute of Technology, Silchar and Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) from Gauhati University.

She has been working as an academician and researcher for the last 11 years. She has taught various subjects in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at various Engineering colleges in Guwahati and those affiliated to the University of Pune. Her research work mainly involves wind energy, electrical drives, controllers, power electronics and artificial intelligence based techniques.

She has also published around 14 research papers related to Electrical and Electronic engineering in various reputed national and international journals and conferences including IEEE, SAGE Publications etc.

Dr Biswa Prasun Chatterji

Associate Professor: School of Engineering

Ph.D.: Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai

Specialization: Biotechnology

Dr Biswa Prasun Chatterji completed his Ph.D. on micro-tubules and anticancer drugs from IIT Bombay in 2011 and M.Tech in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University in 2002.

He has won the second prize in oral presentation on Xanthan fermentation found in food waste in Indian International Science festival 2015 at IIT Delhi. He is an ambidextrous professional who has worked in industry and academia with equal panache. He worked with MAHYCO and Dolcera for four years. He has worked as a lecturer for 5 years at St. Xavier College, Mumbai where he taught subjects prescribed for MSc. Biotechnology.

Dr. Sachin Rajas

Associate Professor: School of Engineering

Ph.D.: Amaravati University, Amravati

Specialization: Mathematics

Dr. Sachin Rajas has completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Amravati University. He has also completed his B.Ed. from Nagpur University. He has total 19 years of teaching experience in engineering colleges of four different University. His area of research is geometric function theory and fractional calculus. His core area includes Univalent and Multivalent function and their analytical and geometrical properties which deals with complex analysis.

He has published total 11 research papers in International Journals and presented 7 research papers at National/ International Conferences. He has participated/ organized 21 STTP/FDP/Workshop/Seminar/Orientation program/Conference. He is author of 2 books of Engineering Mathematics I and III. He has worked as a reviewer for Tata Mc-Graw Hill Ltd. He is a life member of 3 professional societies as ISTE, IJMSEA and IJERIA.

Dr. Neeti Sharma

Dr. Neeti Sharma holds a Masters Degree in Biochemistry (Gold Medalist) from University of Lucknow and Doctorate degree in Biotechnology from the University of Pune. During her doctorate tenure as a CSIR fellow at National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune she devoted her research to understand the genetic basis and molecular mechanisms of rare genetic syndrome (Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome). The focus of her research activities during her doctorate primarily dealt with the genetic basis of this congenital disorder, genomic profiling of nuclear genes implicated in epithelial ovarian cancer stem cells and exploring epigenetic marks in ovarian cancer and cancer stem-like cells.

Along with her research experience she has more than 9 years of teaching experience at leading institutions of India. She has published more than 40 research paper in various journals. Her areas of expertise lies in Cancer Biology, Nanochemoprevention and Epigentics.

Dr. Makarand Joshi

Dr. Joshi has earned his MBA and Ph.D. in strategic marketing and he is a senior management professional with an illustrious career track record which consisted of successful industry experience of over 15 years and 10 years of experience in management education.

He has worked in multiple domains including sales, marketing, and business development. He also holds experience in providing professional consultation to small-businesses and delivers entrepreneurial mentoring. He has successfully handled corporate relations for academic institutes.

Dr. Cyril Crasto

Ph.D.: Savitribhai Phule Pune University, Pune

Specialization: Business Management & Entrepreneurship

Dr. Cyril Crasto is a corporate executive from the Information Technology industry with a total experience of over 22 years. He has completed Doctorate from the reputed Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune in July 2015. Dr. Crasto is Ph.D. in Marketing Management (2010-2015) and his research topic was ‘Entrepreneurial Marketing in IT Startups’. He has done MBA (Marketing) and MBA (Systems), both from University of Pune.

Dr. Crasto became the first-generation Entrepreneur in January 2010 offering Consultancy in Oracle Enterprise Applications. His areas of interest are Marketing, Services management, Entrepreneurship, Business Analysis, and International Business Management.

Dr Samraggi has obtained her Bachelors of Law from the Department of Law, Assam University and Masters of Law with specialization in Human Rights from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Prior to joining School of Law, ADYPU, she has worked as Assistant Professor in School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar and School of Legal Studies, CMR University, Bengaluru.

Samraggi is both diligent with her research and academic work. Her core areas of interest are Victimology, Human Rights, and Criminal Law. She has published many articles in the areas of Victimology and Human rights.

Dr. Anita Bhatia

Dr. Anita Bhatia has majored in English and Economics, and has a doctoral degree from Purvanchal University specialized in English literature on the novels of DrArun Joshi. She has been conducting extensive research on women writings and majorly interested in Feminism. She has penned down several articles and poems and currently working on a fictional novel. In parallel with her academic activities, she is engaged in promoting female education. For the good cause, Ms. Anita collects funds from various resources to educate female students.

Dr. Vidya Nagre

Dr. Vidya A. Nagre is a research scholar, writer, and an academician in English since last ten years. She is majored in Linguistics, English Language, English Literature and Pragmatics and has a doctoral degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University in Lexical Features of Indian English with reference to Post-colonial Novels.

She has broad experience in various linguistic as well as literary fields such as Second Language Acquisition, Varieties of English in multicultural contexts, analyzing various literary texts from linguistic as well as literary point of view to enhance understanding, Sociolinguistics, etc. She has initiated innovative ways of teaching Phonology in comparison to different tongues in India to the students of ADYPU.

Dr. Gauri Desai

Dr Gouri Desai comes across as a self-motivated and resourceful Urban Designer with proven innovation and proficiency in design pedagogy. With keen inclination towards design thinking and its processes she has been in apex position as Principal for Architectural Institutes. In her tenure she has successfully managed institutional organization, governance and infrastructure without neglecting research focus Institution’s pedagogy. For over eighteen years she has traversed disciplinary, professional and institutional boundaries to explore how architecture and urban design and can humane our cities. She is a cutting edge expert with special ability in combining professional knowledge base for participatory interface in academia evolving innovative teaching learning modules. Graduated as Gold medalist in Architecture, she is an alumnus of CEPT Ahmedabad, for masters in Urban design as a GATE scholar and Doctoral studies. She had been regularly presenting her research at numerous International academic conferences. She has traveled across borders representing Indian ethos which continues to add to her unique urban documentation. Her Global exposure and experiences have always provided experiential learning to her team. As a practicing professional Architect her designs symbolize a synergy of the traditional yet contemporary elements deeply contextualized with a sustainable pallet of green practices. Her inclination for history and culture with passion for humane cities has been translating into her evolving professional collaborations.
