Patent to Track Wildlife Migration

A team of B.Tech CSE-SE Semester VI students from the university—Prajay Uday Fal Desai, Darshita Ranvirkar, Rohit Adinath Shelke, Jay Giridhar, and Vraj Gondaliya—filed an innovative patent titled “Smart Tracking for Wild Travels: The Future of Animal, Bird, and Fish Migration Monitoring.” Guided by their mentor, Dr. Amol B. Kasture, this pioneering technology aims to revolutionize how the migration patterns of animals, birds, and fish are tracked and monitored.

The patent, published under the Patent Authority of the Government of India, highlights the team’s strong research capabilities and dedication to creating tech-driven solutions that address critical environmental challenges. Their smart tracking system leverages advanced algorithms and sensor technologies to provide real-time data and insightful analytics, contributing significantly to wildlife conservation efforts and ecological studies.

This milestone is a proud achievement for the students of the Computer Science and Engineering department, demonstrating the university’s commitment to fostering innovation, research excellence, and environmental stewardship among its students. The project not only highlighted cutting-edge technological application but also stressed on  the importance of integrating sustainability with engineering solutions. We congratulate Prajay, Darshita, Rohit, Jay, and Vraj on their remarkable accomplishment and look forward to seeing their ideas further develop into impactful tools for global wildlife
