The School of Engineering at ADYPU welcomed its new B.Tech students with Deeksharambh 2025, an inspiring induction ceremony held on 22nd July 2025. The event marked the beginning of a transformative academic journey rooted in innovation, purpose, and excellence.
The ceremony commenced with Ganesh Vandana and lamp lighting, followed by a warm address by Dean Dr. Prashant Kumbhar, who encouraged students to explore beyond the classroom—through student clubs, NSS, and national-level platforms like Hackathons. He emphasized innovation, hands-on learning, and the guiding principles of NEP 2020, while sharing success stories of ADYPU alumni making their mark globally.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain introduced the ABCD mantra:
A – Awaken your passion for learning
B – Believe in yourself
C – Build character
D – Don’t give up
He reminded students that discipline, values, and gratitude towards their parents will pave the way for true success.
Executive Vice President Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur offered heartfelt advice, urging students to avoid distractions like social media, smoking, and unhealthy habits. She stressed the importance of staying focused from day one, as academic performance directly impacts future placements.
Guest of Honour Mr. Debashish Mitra shared valuable industry insights, highlighting the importance of balancing academics, personal growth, and social responsibility. Applauding ADYPU’s vision as an Innovation University, he encouraged students to lead meaningful, grateful lives.
Registrar Dr. Sudhakar Shinde shared ADYPU’s progressive vision and learning ecosystem, shaped under the leadership of Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil Sir.
Dr. Santosh Borde, Director of SPCR, highlighted recent achievements and encouraged students to utilize weekends to learn new languages and skill sets. He welcomed them to approach the SPCR team for any guidance.
Ms. Anjali was introduced as the point of contact for mental well-being support for students and staff.
The event also celebrated student achievements in academics and placements, reinforcing the promise and potential ahead.
