The School of Management, Ajeenkya DY Patil University, welcomed its new batch of BBA students with great enthusiasm during Deeksharambh 2025, a vibrant induction program designed to inspire, guide, and connect freshers with the ethos of the University.
The program commenced with the auspicious Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. This was led by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor – Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Executive Vice President ADYPG – Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur, Registrar – Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, Dean of School of Management – Dr. Chetna Mehta, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Sandeep Sahasrabudhe – Managing Director at Moneywise Wealth Planner.
Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur in her welcome address, described ADYPU as a campus filled with happiness. She emphasized the universal need for management skills, highlighted ADYPU’s NBA accreditation, and shared success stories of BBA students who had already ventured into startups. She urged students to embrace discipline, avoid distractions such as misuse of mobiles and unhealthy habits, and craft their own life journeys. Her message to the batch was clear: enjoy a meaningful three-year academic and personal growth journey.
In his inspirational speech, Dr. Jain extended a warm welcome, sharing the legacy of the DY Patil Group, which has been empowering youth with quality education for over four decades in Maharashtra. He reflected on the vision of Ajeenkya Sir to establish an innovation university, encouraging students to be innovators and leaders. He introduced the ADYPU – Aim high, Destination clear, Yourself always – along with the values of Passion for learning, and building a Universal personality.
Dr. Sandeep Sahastrabudhe, an experienced educator and entrepreneur, shared his journey through wealth management. He stressed the importance of curiosity, reading credible sources such as The Times of India and The Economic Times, pursuing certifications, and upholding integrity, character, and commitment.
Dr. Sudhakar Shinde addressed the gathering with a detailed presentation on the University’s vision, mission, schools, and support systems. He guided students through policies on attendance, code of conduct, scholarships, and student concerns, assuring them of the administration’s full support throughout their academic journey.
Dr. Chetna Mehta warmly thanked students and parents for joining the ADYPU family. She asked to communicate openly with faculty and connect with mentors. She urged students to approach the BBA journey fearlessly, follow the timetable diligently, and make the most of every learning opportunity.
Lastly, Speaking from a student’s perspective, senior BBA students shared their own two-year experience, recalling memorable events, camaraderie, and the growth they experienced at ADYPU.
