Pune took the spotlight in sustainability as the GNFZ Regional Conclave was held yesterday, 6th October 2025, at Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU), in partnership with Eco Solutions. The event showcased ADYPU’s strong commitment to environmental responsibility, measurable progress, and innovation in India’s regional Net Zero journey.
ADYPU was honored with the GNFZ Net Zero Plan Certificate, marking an important milestone in its ambitious sustainability roadmap. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor of ADYPU, addressed the audience, highlighting the university’s vision to become a global benchmark in net-zero education.
Ar Aparna Rahul Mhetras, Dean of the School of Design, shared insights into the university’s sustainability initiatives and the strategic GNFZ x ADYPU partnership, emphasizing ADYPU’s practical efforts in energy, water, and waste management. Dr. Anshul Gujarathi, Founder & Director of Eco Solutions, presented inspiring GNFZ-certified Net Zero success stories, while Mr. Mahesh Ramanujam of GNFZ highlighted the importance of regional collaboration in achieving Net Zero goals.
The conclave also featured an engaging panel on Regional Innovation for Achieving Net Zero, where Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur Siddhu, Executive Vice President of the Ajeenkya DY Patil Group, explained how expertise, leadership, and commitment can bring meaningful change at both institutional and regional levels.
