Ajeenkya D Y Patil University (ADYPU) successfully inaugurated the 2nd International Conference on Integration of Computational Intelligent Systems (ICICIS-IEEE 2025) on September 11, 2025. Co-organized with the IEEE Bombay Section, the two-day event brought together global experts, researchers, and industry leaders to deliberate on the theme “Intelligent Systems.” The conference featured eight multidisciplinary tracks, including Bio-Engineering, Robotics, Communication & Networking, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Big Data Analytics, IoT, and Smart Environments.
The event began with a warm welcome by Dr. Samina Firoz Waglawala, followed by Saraswati Vandana and the ceremonial lamp lighting. Dr. Sunil Ingole, Dean of Academics, ADYPU, delivered the inaugural address, reflecting on the journey of IEEE-ICICIS and highlighting ADYPU’s research achievements. He proudly shared that the university received 1,200 paper submissions and engaged over 150 participants in pre-conference AI workshops, emphasizing ADYPU’s commitment to hosting impactful academic forums.
Distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Shashikant Patil, Dr. Ajay Poddar, Dr. Charlotte Blair, Dr. Vijay Nema, and Prof. Dinanath Kholkar, contributed their expertise through insightful sessions. Their discussions ranged from AI in medical sciences and intelligent traffic systems to cybersecurity, start-up ecosystems, and societal innovation.
Chief Patron Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil, Chairman, ADYPU, and Patron Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor, ADYPU, were commended for their visionary leadership in advancing research and academic excellence. Keynote addresses by Dr. Damodar Reddy Edla (NIT Goa) and Mr. Pawan Deshpande (Cognizant Technology Solutions) further enriched the conference, focusing on data-driven innovation and emerging technologies.
The event concluded with a valedictory session, announcement of the Best Paper Award, and distribution of certificates and goodies to early-bird participants. With engaging discussions, networking, and knowledge-sharing, ICICIS-IEEE 2025 successfully reinforced ADYPU’s commitment to advancing research, innovation, and global collaborations in intelligent systems.
