Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU), Pune, in collaboration with the Trade Promotion Council for Geospatial & Space Industry (TPCG/SI), hosted the prestigious Drone Shaurya Global Summit & Expo on Unmanned Systems 2024 on September 19–20, 2024. This landmark event brought together global leaders and innovators from aerospace and unmanned technologies, showcasing cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of the industry.
As part of its commitment to community learning, ADYPU organized a Drone Training Program for amateur enthusiasts and visitors from across society, offering hands-on exposure to drone handling, safety, and applications. ADYPU students and faculty actively volunteered in this initiative, guiding participants and creating an engaging, educational environment. This effort reflected the university’s dedication to SDG-4 (Quality Education) by providing inclusive, practical learning opportunities, and to SDG-16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting responsible technology use, digital awareness, and community empowerment.
ADYPU students also presented innovative projects in aerial surveillance, UAV systems, engineering services, 3D printing, and rocket propulsion, reinforcing the university’s role as a hub for next-generation technological research.
The event significantly uplifted public awareness about drone technology, inspired youth interest in STEM fields, and enhanced digital literacy among visitors. The training program empowered participants with new skills, encouraged safe and responsible technological engagement, and strengthened the university’s connection with the broader community, extending the benefits of advanced education beyond the campus.
