Ajeenkya D Y Patil University (ADYPU) celebrated its 9th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, 1st February 2025, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of over 1,000 graduates across disciplines such as Engineering, Design, Film and Media, Law, Liberal Arts, Hotel Management, and Architecture.
The grand event was graced by Hon. Shri Uday Ji Samant, Cabinet Minister of Industries and Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was led by Chancellor and President Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil, along with Vice Chancellor Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, who congratulated the graduating students and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to excellence in education.
The university conferred the Doctorate of Letters (Honoris Causa) upon six distinguished personalities for their extraordinary contributions to their respective fields:
Registrar Dr. Sudhakar Shinde expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries and guests. Deans of the various schools administered the graduation oath to the students. Notable speeches were delivered by Dr. Nishakant Ojha, Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, Shri Amit Dhamani, Ms. Rachna Buxani, and Maharaj Kumar, each offering words of encouragement and inspiration.
Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of artificial intelligence, lifelong learning, and resilience. He paid a heartfelt tribute to his father, Padmashree Dr. D Y Patil, for laying the foundation of the university’s values.
The 9th Convocation of ADYPU served as a proud celebration of the graduates’ hard work and the university’s mission to nurture the leaders of tomorrow through innovation, excellence, and purpose.
