National Service Scheme
In a significant step toward international academic collaboration, Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU), Pune, became the first Indian institution to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Policy Institute (GPI), Washington, D.C., in January 2025.
This partnership marked a major milestone in ADYPU’s journey to expand its global academic and research reach. The MoU aims to establish an ADYPU-GPI Chapter, which will serve as a dedicated hub for collaborative research, policy development, and academic exchange. The focus areas include global affairs, economics, energy, education, and especially geopolitical and security issues in the Indo-Pacific region.
Through this collaboration, students and faculty from both institutions will have opportunities to engage in joint research, attend international seminars and conferences, and contribute to shaping practical and impactful policy frameworks. The initiative also aims to promote meaningful dialogue among students, scholars, policymakers, and business leaders from around the world.
The Global Policy Institute is an independent, non-partisan research organization affiliated with Bay Atlantic University. It is widely known for connecting academic research with real-world policy challenges.
