Beyond Learning & Books: Building a Culture of Care At ADYPU

At Ajeenkya DY Patil University, we believe education isn’t just about degrees but it’s about nurturing minds, building emotional strength, and walking together through the ups and downs of life.

In a meaningful step towards creating a more empathetic and mentally resilient campus, ADYPU has signed a MoU with The Connecting Trust, Pune, an NGO passionately working in the field of youth mental health, psychosocial support, and community care. As part of this collaboration, The Connecting Trust will periodically organize sessions for Students, Faculty and Parents aimed at generating awareness around mental health and well-being.

This is not just a formal agreement but a shared promise.

  • To hold space for students when they feel lost.
  • To equip faculty with tools to recognize silent struggles.
  • To support parents in managing the emotional shifts of their young adults.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Pranita Madkaikar, CEO of The Connecting Trust, and Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, Registrar, ADYPU.

Also present were Ms. Simoni Binoy, Program Manager-The Connecting Trust and Dr Sunil Ingole, Dean Academics.

This initiative is taken by Sukhvinder Kaur Multani, Deputy Dean – Research (Publications)

This collaboration matters because;

  • Behind every assignment deadline is a student fighting unseen battles.
  • Education without emotional safety is incomplete.
  • Change begins when academia meets compassion.

Here’s to meaningful partnerships.

  • to opening up.
  • to listening together.
  • to turning silence into safe spaces.
  • to the courage to ask, “Are you okay?”
  • to educators who care beyond the classroom.
  • to students who show up even on their hardest days.
