Ajeenkya DY Patil University commemorated a significant academic milestone with the successful celebration of its 10th Convocation Ceremony on 24 January 2026. The occasion reflected the University’s sustained commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic education, marking a decade of scholarly achievement and institutional growth.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Smt. Pankaja Tai Gopinath Munde, whose distinguished public service and leadership lent gravitas to the proceedings. The Guests of Honour included His Excellency Dharamkumar Seeraj, High Commissioner of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to India, and Dr. Nishikant Ojha, Chief Advisor for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Study Group, Integrated Defence Staff, Government of India. Their presence underscored the University’s expanding global and strategic engagements.
During the ceremony, meritorious graduates were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals in recognition of outstanding academic performance and exemplary dedication. A key highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of the prestigious Doctorate of Letters (Honoris Causa) degrees upon six eminent personalities: Smt. Pankaja Gopinath Munde, Guruji Pramod Kumar Sharma, Acharya Shri Sudesh Aggarwal, Shri Rashesh Bhansali, Shri Manoj Pochat, and Shri Rohit Sharma. These honours acknowledged their outstanding contributions to society and their respective fields.
The convocation also marked the official introduction of the University’s mascot, Ollie, symbolising youthful dynamism, innovation, and institutional pride. The celebrations concluded on a cultural note with a captivating performance by Havas Guruhi, whose soulful renditions of Hindi and Marathi songs infused the ceremony with warmth and festivity, bringing the landmark occasion to a memorable close.
