ADYPU and CAPS Sign MoU to Advance Air Power Studies and Innovation

Pune, November 22, 2024—Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) and the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance research and innovation in air power, national security, and global strategy.  

The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sunny Thomas, Dean of the School of Law and Liberal Arts at ADYPU. Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil, President of ADYPU, formally welcomed Air Vice Marshal Anil Golani (Retd), Director General of CAPS, and honored him for his exceptional service to the nation. Ms. Pooja Patil, Chairperson of ADYPG, also graced the occasion, expressing her support for this strategic collaboration.  

Air Vice Marshal Golani highlighted CAPS’ contributions to defense strategy and innovation, emphasizing the growing importance of air power and technology in national security. Dr. Nishakant Ojha, Professor of Practice at ADYPU, discussed the integration of AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity in defense strategies, also launching his book, Secrets of the Cyber World.  

The event concluded with a thought-provoking Q&A session and a vote of thanks by Dr. Anil Maheshwari, Dean of Research & Development, marking a milestone in fostering innovation and strategic leadership.
