On 20th February 2025, Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) had the honor of welcoming Dilip Chhabria (DC), a legendary figure in Indian automotive design, to the School of Design as an esteemed faculty member, tutor, and mentor.
Known for his groundbreaking work in transforming automotive aesthetics, DC has built an iconic legacy with some of India’s most innovative custom vehicles. His visionary designs have set new standards in the automotive industry, and now, he brings his wealth of experience and passion for design to the classroom.
In his new role, DC will lead exclusive workshops, live design challenges, and interactive sessions, offering students hands-on exposure to the real-world demands of the automotive design industry. His teachings will blend theory with practical, live experiences, allowing students to engage with the intricacies of design beyond the conventional curriculum.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the School of Design at ADYPU, promising a transformative learning journey where students will not only study design but actively live and experience it.
