on September 2015 , countries adopted a set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to end prosperity , protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all . Since the late 18th century when the Industrial revolution started there have been many changes in every aspect of human lives . Society has seen many changes socially , economically and also the gap between rich and poor has increased providing increased income for some and increased workload for many . So taking this step was crucial for every human which would lessen the gap between the rich and poor and everyone would be able to afford the things necessary for livelihood .

There are altogether 17 of these goals. Today we are going to talk about the 7th goal which is Affordable and Clean Energy. Being human we had one job to save earth but humans greed to achieve more never gets satisfied and after achieving one success it needs another one .  One of the pros of this quality of humans is that it has led to many technological advancements which has lead to a word Renewable energy.

Renewable Energy: This is a type of energy which can be renewed of generated by means of generation when there is lack of these energies. For E.g., Solar Energy , Wind Energy , Hydro energy , Bio energy and many more.

Solar Energy : An easy example of this energy is solar panels. While the installation cost of this solar generated energy is high it is a renewable source . This is a great source of energy for people who are unable to afford electricity . We can see increased growth of usage of solar panels in the cities . Small shop vendors use a small solar panel and let it charge during the day time and make use of that battery later on at night time.

Wind Energy : One of the examples of generation of wind energy is by the use of turbines. When the turbine blades rotate due to the wind flowing kinetic energy is generated which is a good source of energy and is used as per the need.

Hydro Energy : Hydro energy is the type of energy which is caused due to the flow of water in dam which is gets stored as kinetic energy.

Bio Energy : Bio energy is the energy that is generated by biomass such as with the use of organic waste materials this is also an organic source of energy.

All these energies being affordable and renewable and clean, they too have cons. Cons such as for Hydro Energy Dams are build which causes some problems for the nearby villages and communities. For the solar energy for the installation space there is some minimum space that is required to install it which might not be possible for some. for the generation of kinetic energy with the use of wind turbines there is a large space required.

Ideas: If we look into this topic according to the country’s view around the desert side which sees rain rarely we could install solar panels which would generate enough energy backup for the whole village.

If building a personal house we can build it with the wind mill. It would give a specialized look to their house plus would save some bills. Also we could install foldable solar panels so that we can fold and unfold it as per our use and there also would be energy backup when the light goes off.

In conclusion, more use of sustainable and renewable source of energy should be used for the safety of the environment. While the humanity is progressing we should take care of the environment as well. All of these energies being expensive to install and to take care of these can be of great use in the future. These energies are like future investments with profit in humungous amounts like increased lifespan of our future generations and also for mother earth. We together can make earth a nice place to stay! What are your thoughts on these renewable sources of energy? let me know in the comments and also feel free to share your ideas!!
