As part of the Design and Art Workshop Series, Assistant Professor Vidyadhar Bhandare conducted a Footwear Design Workshop at the Singing Line Design Institute in Sangli.

The Design and Art Workshop Series aims to foster design awareness among young, aspiring students, especially those gearing up for design education. To achieve this goal, the School of Design targeted design studios and coaching classes in Maharashtra and neighboring states, with all faculty members conducting specialized design workshops at various locations.

During this specific event, Prof. Vidyadhar Bhandare educated students about the footwear industry, footwear construction, foot ergonomics, and footwear anatomy. He provided a step-by-step demonstration of footwear sketching, imparting the fundamentals of footwear design sketching. The workshop encouraged interactive participation, allowing students to sketch footwear designs and seek guidance on sketching and footwear design.
