On 22nd of November 2023, a workshop was conducted by Pinak Agte for the students of Journalism and Media Production at the School of Film and Media. The central idea of the workshop was to introduce students to industry level recording techniques within studios as well as outdoors. The students got to experience and perform the recording with H4N recorder, Boom Microphones skills and techniques, different types of microphones and their uses, smart tricks for recording during on field reporting. Total 15 students participated in this sound recording workshop. 
Students recorded their performance and got suggestions over improvements and smart techniques to manage audio visual recording simultaneously. Sound being major aspect in audio-visual news production, journalism students got the insights about the same which will be helpful in their production work in future.
