This workshop was an accomplished workshop with a writer and director Sunil Sukhtankar.

His art of storytelling, thought-provoking narratives, and hard-hitting social issues made this workshop an interactive and engaging session for future filmmakers from ADYPU. Mr. Sunil Sukhthankar previewed his award-winning film Kaasav to the students. The film Kaasav means Turtle in Marathi was released in 2016. The film deals with complex issues like mental health, emotional healing, and a delicate balance between nature and human being and their existence. It revolves around two prominent characters Manjula and Parth both are grappling with depression and deep despair. Kaasav also deals with nature and its conservation with the parallel narrative of the life cycle of Olive Ridley Tortoise and human beings.Mr. Sunil also answered all the queries with patience and tried to explain different aspects of the film. The response of the students was overwhelming throughout the session. This type of interaction is an encouragement and learning process for the students and we plan to arrange similar types of workshops and programs in the future so that students will get an opportunity to interact with national and international directors. It was indeed a masterclass and the response of the students was overwhelming throughout the session.
