The Debate Club

The Club provides a forum for students to engage in formal and structured debates on a variety of topics. The focus of the Club’s activities is on critical thinking, public speaking, and argument management skills.

The Club meets on a regular basis to discuss and debate topics that are relevant and of interest to the members. The debates are usually organized in a formal manner, with specific rules and guidelines for how the arguments should be presented and evaluated.

Debate topics can range from social and political issues to philosophical and ethical questions. Members of the club are encouraged to research and prepare arguments in advance, and to engage in rigorous and respectful dialogue with their opponents.

The Club is an excellent avenue for students to develop communication and critical thinking skills. It also is a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and to build friendships with fellow students who share similar interests and passions.
