About Us

The B.Sc. Clinical Research & Technology program at the School of Engineering, Ajeenkya D Y Patil University (ADYPU) has been conceptualized to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the rapidly expanding healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research industries. The program offers a unique interdisciplinary approach that combines the principles of biomedical sciences, healthcare technologies, clinical trial methodologies, and regulatory sciences to prepare graduates for diverse roles within the healthcare ecosystem.

Designed in accordance with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the program follows a four-year honours degree structure, promoting multidisciplinary learning, flexibility, skill enhancement, and research orientation. The curriculum has been carefully developed in consultation with academic experts and industry professionals to ensure that students acquire competencies relevant to both national and international healthcare standards.

The program provides a comprehensive understanding of the complete drug development process, from pre-clinical studies to post-marketing surveillance. Students gain knowledge of clinical trial design, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, clinical data management, biostatistics, medical writing, and healthcare ethics. In addition to classroom teaching, emphasis is placed on experiential learning through laboratory sessions, case-based discussions, simulation exercises, field visits, internships, and research projects.

Recognizing the dynamic nature of the healthcare sector, the department actively fosters collaborations with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), diagnostic laboratories, and healthcare institutions. These partnerships provide students with opportunities for practical exposure, industry interaction, internships, and professional networking, thereby enhancing employability and career readiness.

The department is committed to promoting innovation, ethical practices, critical thinking, and social responsibility. Through a balanced integration of teaching, training, research, and community engagement, the program aims to nurture competent, compassionate, and globally competitive professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to healthcare advancement and evidence-based research.

B.Sc. Clinical Research & Technology

Duration: 4 Years | Full Time

Eligibility:

The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination in Science with minimum of 40% marks.
