The Educational Media Research Center (EMRC) at Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) is a state-of-the-art facility committed to the advancement of educational communication through media innovation, production, and research. Core Functions
and Activities

1. Media Production for Education:

EMRC develops curriculum-based audio-visual content including:

Video lectures, documentaries, and explainer videos
E-learning modules and interactive digital content
Awareness films and promotional media for educational campaigns All content is designed to meet academic standards and pedagogical goals, with strong visual and narrative quality.

2. Research and Innovation:

The center undertakes interdisciplinary research on:

Effectiveness of media in teaching and learning
Student engagement through visual learning strategies
Integration of emerging technologies (AR/VR, animation, interactive media) in education
Findings from these studies contribute to the development of best practices in educational media.

3. Training and Capacity Building:

EMRC conducts regular training sessions and hands-on workshops for:

Faculty on content creation, camera handling, and instructional design
Students in video editing, scripting, direction, and digital storytelling
Media production skills as part of academic programs (e.g., Certificate and Diploma in Photography & Audio-visual Editing)

4. Infrastructure and Facilities:

The center houses:

Professional video recording studios with green screen setup
Non-linear editing (NLE) workstations with advanced software
Audio recording booth and sound editing facilities
Equipment including HD cameras, lighting kits, drones, and audio gear

5. Collaborative and Outreach Initiatives:

Joint projects with departments and external institutions
Production of content for MOOCs and educational broadcasting
Industry interface for internships, live projects, and content co-creation
Media support for university events, conferences, and academic outreach

Academic Vision

Academic Integration

The center also hosts Certificate and Diploma Programs in Photography and Audio-visual Editing, with an intake capacity of 60 seats per course. These programs emphasize experiential learning, practical skill development, and portfolio building, making graduates industry-ready.
