She has been the founding H.O.D of premier design schools in India (Symbiosis Institute of Design, MIT Institute of Design, Pune and Pearl Academy, Mumbai). She is a founding team member of the school of Fashion and a Professor at ADYPU. She continues as an educational consultant for higher studies in Design education pan India. She has diverse research experience in the area of Semiotics of fashion, Indian fashion system, Slow fashion side of sustainable fashion, varied applied research for design projects. Co-Founder and principal designer of slow fashion label “Vaibbhavi P”. The Label is about providing sustainable livelihoods to Indian craftspersons and promoting Indian textiles worldwide. Professionally she offers expertise in developing successful growth strategies by training both learners and team members through curriculum development and skill-building. She is committed educator to bring excellence in the field of higher design education with student experience at the core. She has presented papers at international conferences and published research in well-known journals. Her doctoral research with the title “A Semiotic Study of the Indian Sari” has garnered a lot of interest in the academic community as well as the Industry. She is also an guest keynote speaker and panelist at esteemed forums and her work and views have been published in national publications.
