The program is designed with the intent to give in-depth knowledge to students about Journalism and Mass media.
As the program is giving emphasis on Journalism, it is intended to introduce students to practical experience and knowledge across the other related mediums. Students learn the way content is generated and used in the multi-platform and digitized environment of media industries. They are also trained in the new media techniques in order to understand the processes of production, distribution, marketing, and consumption.

A Ph.D. pursuant in ‘Audiovisual storytelling to immersive media’, Dushyant is also an experienced film making professional who has facilitated his expertise in Doordarshan, the Public Service Broadcaster of India for international and national TV programs like Krishidarshan, International Music Concerts, International Sports Events, and many Films for television like Kanher, Smashanatil Sone, Vanshacha Diwa, etc. He has also worked for ETV Marathi, Star TV, and Zee Network. With over Twenty-two years of experience, Dushyant has earned a wide spectrum of expertise in various fields of audio-visual production which he judiciously blends with the latest academics.
With 14 years of industry + academic experience in the field of animation, Ketan holds a Masters’s Degree in Animation & is preparing for Ph.D. He has worked with more than 5 Universities as a Faculty / Senior Faculty / Asst. Professor / Course Coordinator, along with being a mentor for many students’ short films or projects which won many awards. Ketan has won an award for the best animated short film at the International film festival in Nasik in 2019. He is also the proud owner of a production house and is working on India’s first animated/mix media biopic film as a Director/Producer/Actor/Animator.
Donning a Masters in Advertising and Public Relations, Shefalli has taught advertising in prestigious institutes like Delhi Metropolitan Institute and Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. She has also published several research papers in Advertising at prestigious national and international conferences. Currently Pursuing her Ph.D. in Advertising from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication alongside being an active participant in conferences.
A Masters in Painting with Specialisation in Creative Painting, Siddeshwar has 9+ years of experience in the Industry and Academics as a Storyboard Artist, Character Designer, Illustration Artist & Professor. He also has to his credit being an Illustration Artist in Aptara, Hurix Digital, Peak PacificGroup, Multiversity Pvt. Ltd. along with freelance Work for Drishyam Communication. Siddeshwar is also a specialist in portrait painting and extends all his learnings as an artist to his fellow students.
Rushikesh brings to the table 10 years of industry experience as a professional Animator + Visualizer. He also holds a Masters in Arts (Painting) & has completed his education in Advance 2D & 3D Animation for Film Making. His experiences as an animator include handling Hollywood projects such as Beauty & the Beast, The Jungle Book, Suicide Squad, Kong – Skull Island, Wonder Woman, and many more. To add to his long list of achievements, he has also received an award for the best animated short film in the Mumbai International Film Festival 2017.
Dr. Manju is a multi‐faceted media, entertainment, and communication professional with over a decade of experience in the field of journalism, communication, public relations, and media training. She has been awarded a Ph.D. by Savitribai Phule University of Pune in 2016. Her areas of specialization are journalism, advertising, public relations, experiential communication, corporate communications, and content publishing. She has written several articles in leading national and international dailies publishing firms including Time of India, Indian Express, Sakal Times, The Week, New Global Indian, etc. She writes on education, information technology, entertainment, culture, and real estate. She has also served as an India-based correspondent for a Hong-Kong-based NRI diaspora magazine ‘Beyond Sindh’ circulated in over 125 countries. To her credit, she has edited two books written by India’s famed fitness and wellness trainer‐Abhimanyu Sable and India’s first bau‐biologist‐Mayank Barjatya. Her hobbies include reading non-fiction books, listening to soft romantic melodies, and making new friends.
With an overall 18 years of industry experience along with academic experience in the field of Animation, Kamal Srivastava holds a Masters’s in CG Asset Creation, he is a CG Modeler and a CG Sculptor. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Digital Art, he has worked with more than 7 Universities. He has also provided mentorship to many students for short films/other projects that have won awards. He has directed an experimental short film named Bharat Bhagya Vidhata. He has been awarded as the Best Animated Short Film at various film festivals. He has also participated and been awarded in many national and international painting exhibitions.
A UI/UX Researcher & Visual Designer amazed by the way we use technology and its impact on Humanity, Ajay is passionate about uncovering what drives people and what keeps them going. He believes in being optimistic and loves to work in collaboration. He has worked with more than 200+ national and international clients in Dubai, Oman, Bangladesh, etc along with being a guest faculty in 50+ Universities in India and Abroad. Over the last 20+ years, he has contributed to the Retail, Financial, and Travel sectors by applying innovative and transformative thinking.
His passions stem from the need to build for the user. He enjoys the whole process from conceptualization to usability testing and the back to basics wireframing.
Harrashad is a professional photographer with a specialization in fashion, fine arts, portrait products, and industrial photography. He turned his hobby of photography into his profession by completing his Diploma in Photography and gaining experience by working with acclaimed photographers like Vikram Bawa. He has worked as an official photographer for many renowned brands like Blackberry, Volkswagen, Gabrial, Rochi, etc.
His zeal for photography inspired him to nurture the budding talents of photography into professionals through his homegrown venture, Harrashad Kaamble Academy for Photography. Harrashad has conducted multiple workshops for photography and has trained students at different colleges.
His forte lies in concept shoots that have been Pure, Vintage, Forest & Aks-Au-Raka
Harshvardhan Pawar is an enthusiastic Digital Marketing Consultant with core expertise in Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing. With 10+ years of Industrial experience, his illustrious career record evolved around the new technologies and their effective mechanisms since 2010.
Mr. Pawar is a certified Google Analytics and Google AdWords professional with wide well-known skill sets such as SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, and App Store Optimization. He has catered to various National & International clients. In the Year 2015 at 24ADP – National Level Digital Marketing Conference, where Mr. Pawar was an eminent spokesperson. Harshvardhan has a Masters in Computer Management from Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Mgt. & Research, Pimpri. He has enlightened students from multiple colleges providing them with insightful knowledge about the practical workings of the Digital Marketing industry. He has to his name various laurels in the field of Digital Marketing.
Omkar’s love for photography started way back as a child intrigued by his father’s SLR camera. He went on to attend the one-year Certificate course in Photography from the prestigious Fergusson College Pune, along with a Masters in Science (Media & Communication Studies) (Spl. Video Production) from the Department of Media & Communication Studies, SPPU thus, opening the gateway of cinema. Post his Masters, he went on to secure a Three Year specialization in Film Cinematography from the KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, Kottayam, Kerala.
Omkar has been an integral part of several award-winning shorts like The Broken Window (2015), Haakey (2015), Mariam (2017), Prakriya (2018), and short documentaries like The Land by the Sea (2019), Trimit (2015) which he wrote & directed.
Apart from academic projects, he has been freelancing as a cinematographer on projects like the ‘Smart Bus Stop’ Infomercial (Sahakarnagar Pune), on walk-through videos for Tulsi Developers, ARV Imperia, etc. and on a TVC for a local food brand called Saras Papad. Born into the house of an Indian miniature painting artist, it didn’t take him long to identify the Ashta Nayika paintings, a key aspect in the traditional Indian art form as his area of interest for the final year dissertation project, which was published on the website of the Indian Society of Cinematographers.
Lokesh Sharma has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Art, Animation Production House and Academics. He has worked extensively as the Centre Academic Head in Arena Animation North Zone (Delhi Dwarka, Vasant Vihar, South-Ex, Chandigarh & Aligarh). He is a Graduate in Animation & VFX. He loves to work with Animation & multimedia art and enjoys exhibiting his work at various art shows and has sold his Artwork on Mojarto, India Art Ideas, Fine Art America websites as well as in national & international Art Galleries.
He has won various awards such as the “Best Animation Film Award” at Chambal International Film Festival, Best Animation Ad Film in “Creative Minds” and many more. Lokesh has voluntarily participated in the noble cause of beautification of Aligarh Railway Station by Artistic wall Painting work in the capacity of Mentor /Sr. Artist and was appreciated in P.M. Office, Sansad Bhawan by Shri Narendra Modi (Hon. Prime Minister of India) in 2016.
Tanmay Datta has over 5 years of experience in the 3D Animation & VFX industry. He graduated from George Brown College, Toronto, in Game development, specializing in Character Animation. He started his career as a stereo artist at Legend 3D, worked up as a compositing artist, and had the pleasure to work as a VFX artist in the same coming working for big-name movies such as Avengers, Thor, Passengers, X-men Apocalypse. Tanmay has an experience of 2 years and 6 months as an Animation & VFX artist. He shifted to tutoring and mentoring students in this field. He also has 3 years of experience in Teaching 3D Animation and VFX. Tanmay is passionate about Animation and Teaching.
Mangesh has around 5 years of experience when it comes to game design & development. While working as a game designer, Mangesh has worked on several game projects, including pc games and board games. He also has expertise in modern board games design. Mangesh has a master’s in Video game design and project management and also has expertise in board game design.

Sukhada Khandge is a passionate journalist and researcher. She has been practicing journalism since 2008 and has worked with various national dailies like Pune Mirror, DNA, Free Press Journalism, and Sakaal Times. In her journalistic career, Sukhada has extensively covered beats like Health, Education, and Politics. Intending to share her knowledge and experience of journalism with media students, she entered the academic field. She has been associated as faculty with various institutes like MIT-WPU, MIT-ADT, Pillai College, Panvel, Hinduja College, Mumbai, Khalsa College, Mumbai.
After completing graduation in Mass Media, she took up Masters’ in Electronic Media from the University of Mumbai and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Mumbai University’s Performing Arts Department while also exploring Folk Media. Sukhada has also completed Film Appreciation Course from the reputed Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.
Apart from her experience in the field of Journalism, Sukhada is also a trained Kathak dancer and has completed Visharad from Gandharva University, and has a varied interest in the Folk Arts of India. She was also a part of the research team for ZeeQ’s Documentary ‘Satrangi’ based on Folk Arts. As a part of her research, she has also presented research papers in various national and international media and Folk-Lore conferences in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Manipur. Her love for dance and folk art gave her opportunities to present the same on international platforms in countries like Thailand, the USA, and China.
Shashwati Shweta is an experienced News Analyst and has worked with the Information and Broadcasting ministry of India. She has been working with various Media institutes such as ISOMES (BAG Network 24), Zee Institute of Media and Arts, NBA School of Mass Communication (Venture of Jain TV), and Take One School of Mass Communication as guest faculty. She also has experience in the media industry and was associated with HT Media Ltd, New Delhi, and Maurya TV, Patna.
Shashwati completed her Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism, specializing in Print Journalism, from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal.
Kshitija has done her engineering in Information Technology and M.Sc. In Media and Communication studies with Media Research as a major subject from Savitribai Phule Pune University. She has also worked as a researcher in several media organizations for a couple of years in Mumbai. She has also worked as a freelance market researcher and a social media marketing consultant. She is passionate about academics, and she looks forward to pursuing a Ph.D. in Media Studies. Her goal is to become an honored academician.
Shoeb is a Post Graduate in Computer Science & Engineering and has worked in the Software industry and academia. He is a certified trainer in deep learning & software coding technologies. Having industry experience is reflected in his teaching as most of his sessions are a hands-on approach to academics which helps students understand and transition to work easier.
Sophiya has completed her BE in computer science and engineering from Shivaji University. She has worked as a Game Programmer and has more than 4 years of experience in the gaming industry. Sophia has tremendous experience with 2D and 3D Games and has good knowledge of UI and animation. She loves to do GamePlay Programming and UI as part of the game. She also has good knowledge of AR and VR. Sophiya loves to play casual games and is now working with Seamedu as a Game Development faculty.
Arindam brings a professional experience of more than 12 years in the animation industry. His expertise lies in Post Production and Academics. He has extensive knowledge in CG/VFX/Stereo/Motion Graphics Compositing as well as in quality control for VFX movies.
After Graduation, Arindam completed his specialization in Digital Film Making and VFX from Arena, Mumbai, and started his job as a generalist in TSA Event Management Company. Later he joined studios like Prime Focus, Prana Studios, MEL Studios, Stereo D, Network 18, and Redchillies (VFX).
He has been a part of the academics for the past 3 years and has worked with various institutes and colleges like Arena Multimedia, MAAC, and Gujarat University.
A graduate of the Sydney Film School, Sameer has worked in the post-production and production of feature films and the advertising industry in Australia and Asia. He ran his own production company and worked with leading production houses, and advertising agencies. Sameer has a hands-on approach to academics and makes sure the syllabus resonates with the industry needs and prepares students for a smooth transition into the film industry.
Anuja hails from a media background and has been working in academics for 9 plus years. She has worked with MIT World Peace University, MIT ADT University, VIT college, and MMCC and is currently joined as Senior faculty. She has also served in media organizations in different capacities. To name a few, DNA, Mid-Day, and Sakal group of Publications. She has also been associated with many student short film projects which have got national and international recognition.
Shahrukh Sayyed commenced his career with a short film called ‘The Interview’ in 2015. This got him critical acclaim globally. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography from MIT School of Film & Television (MITSFT), Pune. Shahrukh also holds a Diploma in Film Editing from NEI India Film & Television Institute (NEI-IFTI), Pune.
A part of the media industry since 2012, Shahrukh has worked as a Post-production Professional for several News Channels. He has directed, shot, and edited various short narrative fiction and documentary films, commercial ad films, and more.
You would be impressed to know that his short films have won international recognition around the globe. He was also on the International Jury panel for CreActive Open International Film Festival, Dhaka in 2016. His diploma film – an experimental film – won international recognition in Europe and the United Kingdom.
To add to his qualification portfolio, Shahrukh has also completed a Film Appreciation course from the Film & Television Institute of India Pune. His most notable work came in the form of a regional feature film ‘Balance,’ and was screened at the 2019 London International Cinema Festival.
Sneha is a Filmmaker and studied TV Direction from Film and Television of India, Pune (2016) and she has also studied Community Media from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai(2013).
Sneha comes with 5 years of work experience. She has assisted Marathi feature films and advertisements. Sneha has also worked as Producer on Digital education program with Desert Resource center which is in Thar Desert. She has also worked on Documentaries, worked as Localization for a web series. She also worked as a freelancer on different projects.
Puneet is an accomplished Sound Engineer and Music Producer with diverse musical experiences and possesses over 14 years of experience in recording, mixing, and producing music for mainstream feature films, OTT, music albums, radio, digital & television commercials.
Puneet has worked on background scores of over 20 feature films like Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Ishaqzaade, Rockstar, Shaitaan, Tashan, Dawaat-e-Ishq and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, to name a few. He has recorded and mixed advertising campaigns for brands like Uber, Philips, Tinder, MRF, Renault, Skoda, Mahendra, Samsung, Apollo Hospitals, Dove, and Taj Mahal Tea House, to name a few. Puneet has worked during prestigious international events like the Commonwealth Youth Games (2008), and Commonwealth Games (2010) as a Music Engineer and Producer, and the Men’s Hockey World Cup (2018) as the Official Music Editor.
He has been working closely with musicians like Ranjit Barot, A R Rahman, Vijay Prakash, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Taufiq Qureshi, George Brooks, etc., to name a few.
Sreekumar is a man of many talents. An expert across the auditory domain, Sreekumar is a bonafide stalwart of India’s sound industry, having been involved in various professions across the board.
Sreekumar is a multi-faceted professional with experience in song mixing, film sound mixing, sound surround mixing, sound design, on-location recording, live sound (orchestral), music mixing, etc. He has over 21 years of industry experience and 8 years of experience as an educator. He has also served under some massive banners in the sound and music scene, names that include the likes Sreerag Digital Kerala, S S Digital Kerala, Zee Network Dubai, Al-Nazaer Kuwait, Scientific Center Kuwait, Harmony Art Media Kuwait, and his own facility – SK Audio House, Kuwait.
Sreekumar uses this treasure-trove of knowledge to teach students film sound, post-production, consoles, studio sessions, multi-track sessions, and mixing. His impeccable connections in the industry mean he also assists with industry visits and uses all his expertise to help guide students through not just the technical aspects of the industry, but also moral ones, being a big proponent of ethics and professionalism.
Mandar Patil has a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Masters in Mass Media – Sound Engineering and possesses over 7 years of experience in various facets of audio. Mandar’s range of skills includes mixing and mastering, live sound, location sound, post-production, and studio construction. Mandar has also been a part of the audio-visual industry for two years with Nav Jagruti Multimedia and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
Hitansu Patnaik is an established music producer and arranger, composer, multi-instrumentalist, mixing engineer, and vocalist with over 8+ years of experience in the music industry. He began his career as a Pianist, percussionist, and vocalist. The moment completed his B.Tech and Sound Engineering, he started getting opportunities to work for the South-Indian film industry and engineered many renowned artists down the line. He is not only a creative & aspiring educator since 2016 for media & sound but also an Ableton Certified Trainer in India and has his international recognition on the Ableton Website. He has made music for many distinguished artists like Raghu Dixit, Vijay Prakash, and record label-Lahari Recording Company Pvt., jingles for TVCs, scoring for films, and has also worked as a music arranger & scorer, recordist, and mix engineer for many independent artists, bands, and films.
Sushant is a mixing-mastering engineer and a certified instructor for AVID Pro Tools. He completed his Diploma in Studio Sound Engineering & Music Production from Alchemea College, London, and has been associated with studios like Abbey Road Studios. He has over 4 years of experience as an educator.
Mandar Pachpande has a Bachelor’s Degree in Audio that he pursued from SAE Institute, Dubai, and started working with studios and on live sound in Dubai. Mandar has worked on several international productions and has also worked with performing arts theatre. After which, he started working in the field of education in Dubai. He has over 3 years of experience as an educator.
Atharva is a Hindustani classical vocalist, music producer, music recording and mixing engineer, and sound designer. He has worked on various regional films as a sound editor, and sound designer and has experience working as a recording and mixing engineer with commercial and independent music. Apart from this, he has also been a part of the advertisement industry and has worked with some of the major brands like Google India, Facebook, Amazon, Garnier, Skoda, Burgerking, Parle, and others.
Manasi comes with more than 14 years of experience in the field of photography, starting with analog black & white film photography and printing in the darkroom and then moving on to get a master craftsman diploma in digital photography and imagery from Shari Academy. She was working in UAE, as a freelancer for 3 years before moving back to Pune.
She has worked extensively as a freelance commercial photographer in India and in Dubai for various brands and companies such as Sheikha Boutique, Style your armour, Lunch-on, Regal, and Abu Dhabi international conventions to name a few. She also taught at SAE-Dubai as part of a month-long Photography course crafted for professionals.
She has also covered international events such as Common Wealth Youth Games- 2008, Indo-German Mela- 2012, and likes for various organizations.
Manasi also enjoys exhibiting her works at various art shows and has sold her photographs on various occasions. She has more than 15 such shows under her belt at Lavasa, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi.
With a strong belief and passion for imparting knowledge and experience which helps her students excel in this field that is ever-evolving. She believes in the wholesome teaching for her students, so they are ready to face the industry once they pass out.
Alok Katkar is a photographer based in Pune, with more than 5 years of field experience. He specializes in product and wildlife photography and has 6 years of experience in image editing and graphic designing. He has worked for some renowned brands like Ranka Jewellers, Jupiter Hospital, VH1 Supersonic, and Reserve Bank of India. His images have been published on several platforms like National Geographic, Canon, Smart Photography, Chiiz, Pune Mirror along with various national level exhibitions.
As a photojournalist, Purva started her career with the Business India Magazine in Mumbai as a staff photographer. Later as a freelancer, she worked for big names like Outlook Money magazine, Hindustan Times (Mumbai), The Hindu, and Pune Times.
Her personal projects have been published in magazines and newspapers. She has exhibited her works at various group shows in the Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai, and Balgandharva Art Gallery, Pune.
She is a recipient of the Jury Commendation award at the prestigious Toto Awards for Photography,2014.
Purva has had academic experience for more than 4 years and along with that, she is currently working as a freelance photographer as well. Apart from Photography, she holds a key interest in Make-up & Hair Artistry, Graphic designing, and Food Styling. She also likes to call herself a home baker!
