    Media industry is growing at an exponential speed and to support this growth the industry needs skilled managers. Managers who not only have the standard managerial skill set but also a good grasp of how the media industry works and how to manage media projects. Most management executives are not well versed with media projects and handling them. The newly launched BBA in media management program at Ajeenkya D Y Patil will fill in this gap of skilled professionals who have the required skills to manage media projects. The course will train and arm the students with skills and make them ready for the media industry, thereby being a part of this growing Industry.

The course is designed to be a mix of practical oriented where the student will be spending his/her time on hands-on activities ranging from projects to internships as well as classroom activities, which will involve Lectures, Seminars, Presentations, Group discussions & Knowledge sharing sessions, etc.

  • 1. Dr. Kavita Chordiya – Asst. Professor

    Dr. Kavita Chordiya has an outstanding career. Her experience covers almost 10 years of teaching. She is currently working as Sr. Faculty at Seamless Education Pvt. Ltd. at ADYPU Campus, Pune. She has completed her M.Com & MBA in HR specialization. She has attended various International & National level Seminars/ Conferences. She also showed her vigorous contribution in Paper publication & some of them got published too in ABDC, Scopus Indexed and UGC Care Listed Journals. She has attended several FDPs. She also holds the variety of other crucial positions like Chairperson for Labour Laws, Member of the Syllabus Review Committee of SPPU, Paper Setter, Moderator, Examiner, Ph.D Guide, BSE Resource Person & many more. She is Author of many books in the field of Management. Her areas of interest are Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Welfare, Labour Laws, etc.

  • 2. Ayush Chaudhary – Asst. Professor

    Ayush comes with 9 years of experience in the field of media marketing and digital advertising with an MBA in Media Management and a Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Comm. from GGSIP University. He has worked as a Show Producer and Radio Jockey with Fever 104 FM, 94.3 Radio One Delhi, Sports Flashes and Media 7. He has worked with Capgemini as an analyst & has also taken guest lectures. He was also nominated for the Best RJ for Radio Connex Awards 2018 & has been an active member of Rotary Club since 2006.

  • 3. Dr. Sukhada Khandge – Associate HOA

    Dr. Sukhada Khandge – PhD Inter-Disciplinary Folk Media | University of Mumbai. She is a passionate journalist and a researcher. While practicing journalism since 2008, she has worked with various national dailies like Pune Mirror, DNA, Free Press Journalism, Sakaal Times. In her journalistic career. She entered into academic field and is currently pursuing Ph.D. at Mumbai University’s Performing Arts Department She has been associated as faculty with various institutes like MIT-WPU, MIT-ADT, Pillai College, Panvel, Hinduja College, Mumbai, Khalsa College, Mumbai. Sukhada has also completed Film Appreciation Course from the reputed Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. She was also a part of the research team for ZeeQ’s Documentary ‘Satrangi’ based on Folk Arts. As a part of research, she has also presented research papers in various national and international conferences

How you will spend your time

Nature of activities, schedules that will unfold once the course begins

  • A semester of a student on campus will contain around 320-350 hours of attending classes both theory & practical.
  • Throughout the three years, they will strengthen their knowledge ranging from Business Ethics, Laws, Communication, HRM, media studies, media law, and digital media, as well as essential business skills like finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship Economics, Accounting, Finance, Organisational behaviour, CRS etc.
  • Every Semester will contain two Term Examinations (midterm & End term) and two Continuous assessments (CA 1 & CA 2). Other than this regular assignments and projects will be rolled out for students to complete & submit.

How the student will spend a typical week in the program

  • Students will have classroom teaching.
  • The sessions will be conducted so as to enable the student to have a more practical approach.
  • After completion of every module the student will be assigned to a task or assignment which will be notified through our online ERP.
