ADYPU School of Design’s Master of Design - Engineering Product Design is aimed at creating product designers and developers who can create innovative products. The program is specially designed for engineers to augment their engineering skills with a key set of design skills required to develop a new product or improve an existing product.
The Master’s program in Engineering Product Design has been designed as an interactive learning experience to develop critical thinking skills through various problem-solving activities. A major part of the course work is a sequence of design studios during which students understand the design process and apply it to a given problem. In upper-level design studios, students think about how the product interacts with its user and how the product exists in an ecosystem by building experiences and services around the product.
At the end of the course, students demonstrate their acquired capabilities through a final-year project. The course gives students a thorough knowledge of the total product design process with an emphasis on conceptualization.
