Location : Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune
    Key Responsibilities:
      1. Academic Leadership:
    • Provide visionary leadership to the School of Engineering, driving academic excellence and innovation in teaching, research, and service.
    • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the School’s academic programs, ensuring they are aligned with industry needs and global standards.
    • Foster a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging faculty and students to engage in cutting-edge research and projects.

    2. Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Lead the development and execution of the School’s strategic plan, setting goals for growth, program development, and resource allocation.
    • Identify emerging trends in engineering education and technology, integrating them into the School’s curriculum and research agenda.
    • Develop partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions to enhance the School’s reputation and impact.

    3. Faculty Development and Management:
    • Recruit, retain, and mentor high-quality faculty, promoting professional development and academic achievement.
    • Oversee faculty workload, performance evaluation, and career progression, ensuring a supportive and productive work environment.
    • Encourage faculty involvement in research, publication, and professional service, recognizing and rewarding excellence.

    4. Student Success and Engagement:
    • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality educational experience for students, emphasizing hands-on learning, internships, and industry interaction.
    • Oversee student recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies, ensuring a diverse and talented student body.
    • Address student concerns and grievances, working to create an inclusive and supportive academic environment.

    5. Research and Innovation:
    • Promote a strong research culture within the School, encouraging faculty and students to engage in innovative research and development activities.
    • Secure funding for research initiatives through grants, industry partnerships, and other sources.
    • Oversee the establishment of research centers, labs, and facilities, ensuring they are equipped to support advanced research.

    6. Curriculum Development and Review:
    • Lead the continuous review and enhancement of the School’s curriculum, ensuring it is responsive to technological advancements and industry demands.
    • Incorporate new technologies, teaching methodologies, and learning resources into the curriculum.
    • Ensure that the School’s programs meet accreditation standards and prepare students for successful careers in engineering.

    7. Administrative Oversight:
    • Manage the School’s budget, resources, and facilities, ensuring efficient and effective use of financial and physical assets.
    • Oversee administrative functions such as scheduling, staffing, and compliance with university policies.
    • Ensure that the School’s operations are aligned with the university’s overall mission and strategic goals.

    8. Quality Assurance and Accreditation:
    • Lead the School’s efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation from relevant national and international bodies.
    • Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and improve the School’s academic and administrative performance.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    9. Industry and Community Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders, alumni, and other stakeholders to support the School’s programs and initiatives.
    • Organize and participate in industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to promote the school and its achievements.
    • Facilitate student and faculty involvement in community service and outreach activities.

    10.Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff regarding examination schedules, results, and policies.
    • Address and resolve any queries or concerns related to examinations in a timely and professional manner.


    Qualifications:
    • A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
    • Extensive academic and administrative experience, preferably at the level of Department Head, Associate Dean, or Dean.
    • A strong record of research, publication, and professional service in the field of engineering.
    • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide faculty, staff, and students.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    Desirable Attributes:
    • Experience in strategic planning and program development in an academic setting.
    • Strong connections with industry and a track record of successful collaboration with external partners.
    • Experience in securing research funding and managing large-scale research projects.
    • Knowledge of accreditation processes and quality assurance in higher education.
