B.Tech Computer Engineering
B. Tech Computer Engineering program offers five specializations that cover the breadth of information and training graduates need to be immediately productive in their first job. We believe this is engineering education for the 21st Century.
Students opting for the Biocomputation specialization in B. Tech Computer Engineering study a combination of courses from various fields such as statistics, biology, biotechnology, computer science, life science, data science, etc. The coursework seeks to develop in students statistical, computational and data science skills that can be applied to complex biological systems for the purpose of analysis and innovation.
The curriculum for the Biocomputing specialization is integrated with case studies and project work, enabling students to experience worked systems even as they study them.
As students advance in the course, they also learn the use the application of bioinformatics tools for practical applications. This part of the course develops scientific knowledge and employability as students get to work on real projects as a part of the course.
At the end of the course, graduating students will have aced the skills to process and analyse clinical datasets to support diagnosis and research in various hospitals, healthcare organizations.
At the end of the course, graduating students will have aced the skills to process and analyse clinical datasets to support diagnosis and research in various hospitals, healthcare organizations, the medical device industry, etc. Our job-based course is designed to address the gap in the industry through practical academic routes.
Students can also find work with research institutes and organizations working on bioscience projects. Students completing this course can also go on to do postgraduate programs in Biocomputation and Bioinformatics.
