In his role as the President of DY Patil University in Navi Mumbai, Dr Patil is devoted to shaping an exceptionally student-focused environment that ensures the highest levels of engagement, services, and achievement levels.

He has a list of illustrious accomplishments in his name. He established and commissioned Padmashree Dr. DY Patil Hospital & Research Centre, a super specialty 900-bed charitable hospital. One of his crowning achievements is the Dr. DY Patil International Sports Stadium in Nerul, Maharashtra, recognized as one of the world’s top six stadiums and recipient of the Best Stadium Experience award at the IPL Awards in 2010.

He has received the Maharashtra Gaurav Award for his exceptional contributions to the sports field. He was honored with the Paul Harris Fellowship by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, the Achievement Recognition Citation Honor Award by the Indian Dental Association, and the prestigious Jewel of Navi Mumbai award from the Indian Merchants Chamber for his exemplary leadership.
